The Organizing Committee warmly invites our distinguished delegates and guests to the 18th Baltic Conference on Food Science and Technology “Baltics R&D For Future Food” (FOODBALT2025) held during May 22-23 2025 in Kaunas, Lithuania.

The general aim of the Conference is to create an open and interactive International forum for scientists and particularly young researchers such as doctoral or MSc students to exchange ideas and the latest results in their field of the research.

Furthermore, it will also provide an opportunity to meet old friends and form new partnerships.

We hope that you will take this opportunity to join us for academic exchange and visit the city of Kaunas.

  • April 2 – Submission of abstracts
  • April 30 – Notification of Acceptance/Rejection
  • May 12 – Registration fee deadline
  • May 22-23 – Conference date

Presentation Guidelines:

  • Oral presentations: time for oral presentations will be 15 minutes including 5 minutes discussion. Official conference language is English.
  • Poster presentations: poster size 840  x 594 mm (portrait layout).
  • Abstracts must be prepared according to the template provided below. The abstract(s) should be saved as presentingauthornameandsurname.doc

We are pleased to announce that it is also possible to register for short courses “The potential of digital PCR in the assessment of microbiological contamination of food“. The course will also include practical sessions involving the analysis of the number of micro-organisms in samples by digital PCR.

The number of participants is limited. If you would like to participate in the course, please inform us by e-mail foodbalt@ktu.lt until 11th of April.
