The most promising research area, which allows to obtain the materials for effective and reliable third generation organic light emitting diodes (OLED) is the synthesis and characterization of materials exhibiting thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF). TADF emitters can be synthesise from cheap organic raw materials without using noble metals. The costs of TADF emitters is potentially lower. In addition, they are non-toxic or less toxic than phosphorescent emitters.
Project funding:
This research project is funded by the European Social Fund according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments, under measure’s No. 09.3.3-LMT-K-712 activity “Promotion of postdoctoral fellowships studies”.
Project results:
The aim of this project is to synthesize and explore new organic donor-acceptor type emitters exhibiting TADF effect by using cheap raw materials and to test the most promising compounds in OLEDs or solar cells.
Period of project implementation: 2020-09-01 - 2022-12-22
