Exploitation of the solid-state enhanced long-lived emission of organic emitters for the detection of nitroaromatic explosive compounds

Project no.: S-LU-24-6

Project description:

The aim of the project is development of new generation of organic emitters exhibiting combination of the phenomena of solid-state luminescence enhancement and long-lived emission, i.e. thermally activated delayed fluorescence or room temperature phosphorescence for the optical sensing of nitroaromatic explosive compounds. New series of organic compounds with a donor-acceptor structure exhibiting the combination of long-lived triplet emission and and solid state luminescence enhancement are designed, synthesized and their properties are studied. The applicability of the synthesized compounds for sensing of nitroaromatic explosive compounds is estimated

Project funding:

Intergovernmental programme administrated by Research Council of Lithuania: Lithuania–Ukraine

Project results:

The results of the project will be published in the international scientific journals. It is planned to publish three joint articles together with the Ukrainian partners. On more article will be submitted. It is also planned to present the results of the project in the international scientific conferences.
