Design, synthesis and investigation of new fluorescent emitters for organic light emitting diodes

Project no.: 09.3.3-LMT-K-712-23-0125

Project description:

During the project unique fluorescent emitters characterized by combination of thermally activated delay fluorescence (TADF) and triplet-triplet annihilation (TTA) will be synthesized and investigated exploiting advantages of both TTA and TADF. Thus, molecular design of emitters with triplet harvesting via TADF and TTA is planned to develop within this project using theoretical and experiment approaches. The designed materials are envisaged to enable highly efficient organic light emitting diodes.

Project funding:

This research project is funded by the European Social Fund according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments, under measure’s No. 09.3.3-LMT-K-712 activity “Promotion of postdoctoral fellowships studies”.

Project results:

The scientific results will be published in the journals included in the “Web of Science” database and presented at international scientific conference. The project will ensure the dissemination of research results and the transfer of scientific knowledge, as the well as collaboration between researchers. The synthesis of new fluorescent materials, investigation of emission mechanisms, and fabrication of the devices will encourage further applications of organic materials in optoelectronics.
